Every project gets an included HTTPS subdomain under setcloud.app. Use it for testing or as your app’s address without buying a domain. Open Projects → your project → Domains to check setup, copy the address, or open your app once it is ready. Normal deployment and usage charges still apply.
A custom domain is optional and adds your own address while the included SetCloud subdomain remains available.
Connect a domain
Open Projects → your project → Domains. Pick a domain from your current organization or add an external domain, then choose an optional subdomain. A domain can be linked to one project at a time.
Choose your DNS setup
- Keep your DNS host: add the ownership TXT record, select Check setup, then add the HTTPS validation CNAME and project traffic record. Root domains need ALIAS, ANAME, or CNAME flattening; otherwise use a subdomain such as
www. - Use SetCloud nameservers: copy existing email and other DNS records to SetCloud first, then set the exact assigned nameservers at your registrar. Select Check setup to verify delegation.
The project keeps these instructions and its verification and HTTPS status visible after you reload. Deployment produces the traffic destination; DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. Keep the HTTPS validation record for automatic renewal.
See the custom domain guide for the complete flow and HTTPS troubleshooting if a certificate remains pending.
