AI Gateway calls and agent model steps require available credit. A funded account that reaches zero enters a seven-day hosting grace period when that state is recorded. Hosted container projects can continue during the grace period. Notices are attempted at the start, at 84 hours, at 144 hours, and when the pause is applied after 168 hours.
The hosting pause scales container project instances to zero. It retains their configuration and data; it does not shut down shared databases, delete stored objects or secrets, stop static delivery, or cancel domain renewals. Those resources can still incur charges. Domain expiry rules continue to apply.
Add enough credits to return to a positive balance to start recovery. The platform reconciles the workload state in the background, so startup is not instantaneous. A separate monthly spend-budget pause must also be cleared before AI or agent work resumes.
