SetCloud is prepaid. You deposit credits; usage draws down the balance. There are no subscriptions and nothing to cancel.
What draws from the balance
- Hosting, databases, and secrets — metered continuously, then itemized and deducted in a monthly roll-up.
- AI Gateway and dashboard agents — model usage deducts per request or completed model step.
- Repository builds and model training — separate completion charges.
- Domains — one-time charges at checkout. When your balance covers the full total, you can pay with credits instead of your card.
Check the balance under Billing & Credits, or from the terminal:

setcloud billing transactions # the full ledger: every deposit and deduction
Auto-reload
Eligible usage deductions and billing checks can request a reload when your balance is below the configured threshold. A card charge can fail or require verification; reload is not guaranteed. Dashboard-agent model steps do not trigger a reload.
- Threshold: $5 minimum.
- Reload amount: $25 minimum, $10,000 maximum.
- Defaults: reload $25 when the balance falls under $10.
Configure it under Billing & Credits. Turning auto-reload off keeps your saved amounts — flip it back on later without reconfiguring.
Manual top-ups
Billing & Credits → Add funds. $50 minimum, $10,000 maximum per deposit. If your bank asks for 3-D Secure confirmation, the flow handles it.
What happens at zero
AI Gateway requests fail immediately with 402 insufficient_credits. Don’t let production find out for you: keep auto-reload on, and watch for billing alerts in the notification center.
Every new account also starts with a $50 monthly spend cap, separate from your credit balance — see spend caps and pause behavior. Hosting gets its own 7-day grace period at zero balance rather than stopping immediately: what happens at zero balance.
Refunds
Consumed usage is non-refundable. An unused credit balance is refundable on request — open a support ticket. Details: refund policy.
