Premium and aftermarket domains — already-registered names, priced above a standard registration — go through the domain search and cart like any other domain, but with two differences: identity verification comes first, and a person places the order, not an automated system.

Identity verification first

Checkout blocks any premium or aftermarket item until your identity is verified. This is checked server-side, so relabeling a cart item doesn’t skip it — both checkout paths reject an unverified premium purchase with the same error. Verify ahead of time so a premium checkout is never held up mid-purchase.

Timelines

Premium orders are placed manually with the registry and typically complete within 10–20 business days. Your card or credits are charged at checkout; the order itself stays in progress until our team completes the placement.

Order status

Track status under Domains → the order’s detail view:

  • Pending review — the order is queued for our team.
  • Placed — the order has been submitted to the registry and is awaiting completion.
  • Completed — the domain is yours and appears under Domains.
  • Failed — the registry couldn’t complete the purchase; see Refunds below.

You’ll get a notification each time the status changes.

Refunds

If a premium order can’t complete, it’s refunded — whether you paid by card or with credits. Refunds are issued for the premium item itself, not the rest of an order it shipped alongside.
