Credits and billing
SetCloud runs on a credit balance, not a subscription. You add funds once to get started, and usage across every product draws down from that balance until you top up again.
The starting deposit
Before you can use anything usage-based, save a payment method and make a one-time deposit of at least $50 — that deposit is what unlocks billing on your account. No identity check is needed to add a card or deposit; identity verification is required only before a premium or aftermarket domain order. Full rates for every product are on the pricing page.
Manual top-ups
Add more credits any time from the dashboard or the CLI. Top-ups have the same $50 minimum as the starting deposit. If your bank asks for extra verification before it approves the charge, you’ll be prompted to confirm — the funds land as soon as that clears.
Auto-reload
Set a threshold and a reload amount, and SetCloud tops up your balance when an eligible usage charge or billing check finds the balance below your threshold. Card failures or bank verification can require action; dashboard-agent steps do not trigger auto-reload. You can turn auto-reload off whenever you want: doing so only stops the automatic charge, your configured threshold and reload amount stay saved, and turning it back on picks up right where you left off.
The monthly usage roll-up
Infrastructure, managed databases, and secrets generally settle monthly. AI Gateway requests, dashboard-agent model steps, completed builds, and fine-tuning training settle separately when performed or completed. These charges are not charged again in the monthly infrastructure roll-up. Domain orders are paid at checkout. See spend caps and limits for what happens if your balance runs low or out.
