Identity verification

SetCloud runs a one-time identity check before you complete a premium or aftermarket domain order — the one place on the platform that requires it. It keeps the domain marketplace safe for every client.

When verification is required

Verification is not part of billing setup. You can save a payment method, make your starting credit deposit, and turn on auto-reload without ever verifying.

It’s required in exactly one place: before a premium or aftermarket domain purchase completes, regardless of how you’re paying. Checkout enforces this server-side, so a premium item can’t slip through unverified no matter how it’s labeled. You can verify ahead of time from Billing & Credits so a premium checkout is never held up mid-purchase.

The verification flow

You’re sent to a hosted verification step, asked to confirm your details and a form of ID, and returned to your dashboard once it’s done. Verification already on file is reused — you’re not asked to repeat it for every premium purchase.

If verification fails

If verification doesn’t complete, the premium domain purchase it was gating is rejected until you retry it successfully. Nothing else on your account is affected, and nothing is charged in the meantime.
