Object Storage quickstart
SetCloud Object Storage provides private, encrypted S3-compatible buckets. The dashboard and API return SetCloud resource IDs and logical names, not provider account identifiers or credentials. Opaque provider locators appear only inside short-lived signed transfer URLs.
Create a bucket
Open the dashboard, choose Storage, and select Create bucket. Enter a lowercase name, choose a region, and optionally enable object versioning. Organization owners and admins can create buckets.
A bucket remains in Provisioning until its private-access, encryption, CORS, and versioning settings are applied. Refresh the bucket list if provisioning is still in progress.
Upload objects
Open an active bucket and choose Upload. The dashboard requests a short-lived, bucket-scoped upload URL and sends the file directly to Object Storage. The dashboard session cookie and cloud credentials are never sent with the file.
An individual dashboard upload can be up to 5 GB. Upload URLs expire after 15
minutes. Object keys may include / separators, which appear as folders in the
file browser.
Browse and download
Open folders from the bucket table or use the breadcrumb to return to a parent prefix. Download creates a read-only URL that expires after five minutes.
Delete data
Owners and admins can delete an object from its row action. This permanently removes the object and every stored version, including when versioning is enabled. Bucket deletion is available only after every object and version has been removed; SetCloud does not silently purge a non-empty bucket.
Access boundary
- Bucket and object lists follow the active organization.
- Members can browse and download objects.
- Owners and admins can create buckets, upload objects, and delete data.
- Buckets are encrypted and private by default.
- SetCloud never returns long-lived S3 access keys through the dashboard API.
