Deployments quickstart

Git push to production. Connect a repo once; every push after that builds and ships on its own.

Prerequisites

  • A SetCloud account with billing set up.
  • A GitHub repository with the app you want to deploy.

1. Create a project

In the dashboard, open Projects and click New Project. Clone a maintained template into your GitHub account or import an existing repository.

2. Connect GitHub

Authorize SetCloud on the repositories you choose. You stay in control of which repos it can see.

3. Pick your repository

Select the repo. SetCloud analyzes it and proposes build settings — review them before moving on.

4. Add a database (optional)

Choose No database or Managed PostgreSQL. Every database is an isolated logical database on the same private, auto-scaling pool; SetCloud absorbs its always-ready capacity floor. The connection string is injected into your app as DATABASE_URL. Details in the databases quickstart.

5. Use your included SetCloud subdomain

Your project gets its own HTTPS address under setcloud.app. No domain purchase or DNS setup is required. Use this address for testing or keep it as your app’s address. After deployment, open Projects → your project → Domains to copy or visit it.

A custom domain is optional. Add one from Domains whenever you are ready; the included address remains available.

6. Deploy

Click Deploy and watch the build logs stream live. The project shows its included address and HTTPS setup status. Use Open app once the address is ready; certificate and network updates can take a few minutes after a build finishes.

7. Push to deploy

From now on, every push to the tracked branch builds and ships automatically. Turn auto-deploy off per repository if you want manual control. Roll back to a previous build from the project page.

Costs

The included subdomain has no domain registration fee. Normal deployment and usage charges apply. Builds bill per build-minute; containers bill per second for allocated resources, including idle time. Stopped containers incur no compute charge; retained storage and other resources may still bill. Full rate card on the pricing page.
