Go API template

Source: setcloud1/template-go-api. The SetCloud-authored repository is MIT licensed and uses only the Go standard library at runtime.

Runtime contract

  • Go 1.26 standard-library HTTP server
  • GET /health without external dependencies
  • Structured logs, request timeouts, and graceful shutdown
  • Unit tests, race detection, static analysis, and reproducible builds
  • Minimal non-root production container
  • Optional pooled PostgreSQL through DATABASE_URL

Run and verify locally

go test -race ./...

Without a local Go toolchain, use the included container:

docker build -t my-go-api .
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 my-go-api
curl http://localhost:3000/health

Clone Go API from Projects → New Project → Templates, grant the SetCloud GitHub App access, and deploy the pending project. Use the maintained Node.js API or FastAPI and PostgreSQL for those language ecosystems. Go source and license: golang/go.
