React Router and Vite template

Source: setcloud1/template-react-router. The SetCloud-authored repository is MIT licensed and uses the independent React Router, React, and Vite projects.

React Router framework mode supports server rendering, client rendering, and static pre-rendering without a hosting-platform-owned application framework.

Runtime contract

  • TypeScript, React Router 7, React, and Vite
  • Server-rendered production container on Node.js 22
  • GET /health without database or external-service dependencies
  • npm run build, npm test, and npm run typecheck
  • Optional pooled PostgreSQL through DATABASE_URL

Run and verify locally

npm ci
npm run typecheck
npm test
npm run build
npm run dev

Verify the production image and health route with:

docker build -t my-react-router-app .
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 my-react-router-app
curl http://localhost:3000/health

Clone React Router App from Projects → New Project → Templates, grant the SetCloud GitHub App access to the generated repository, and deploy it.

Use React and Vite when the application only needs static client assets. Use Astro for a content-first site. Upstream framework source: remix-run/react-router.
