Node.js API template

Source: setcloud1/template-node-api. The repository is MIT licensed and maintained by SetCloud.

Runtime contract

• Node.js 20 container
• GET /health returns the deployment health response
• PORT controls the listening port and defaults to 3000
• No runtime package dependencies

Run and verify locally

npm test
node server.js
curl http://localhost:3000/health

The production image uses the included Dockerfile:

docker build -t my-node-api .
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 my-node-api

Deploy

Clone Node.js API from Projects → New Project → Templates, grant the SetCloud GitHub App access to the generated repository, and deploy the pending project. Store credentials in Secrets Vault and link them as project environment variables; do not commit them.

Edit server.js, commit, and push to the tracked branch for later deployments.
